Group Discussion Training for Students
Group discussions eliminate more candidates than any other placement stage. Our GD training teaches you to initiate, contribute, and lead without being aggressive.
Group Discussions β Where Good Candidates Fail Without Preparation
Group discussions are used by companies to assess communication, leadership, persuasion, and team dynamics simultaneously. Many strong students who sail through aptitude tests and technical rounds fail at GDs β not because they lack knowledge but because they don't know the rules of corporate GD performance. Shouting the most isn't winning. Being quiet isn't losing. Summarising effectively often matters more than the points you made. These are learnable skills.
- GD rounds eliminate 40-60% of candidates who cleared the aptitude test
- Initiating a GD well gives significant scoring advantage β and is a practised skill, not a personality trait
- The most common GD mistakes are interrupting, repeating others, and failing to build on previous points
- Summarising the GD at the end β when the evaluator scores you β is the highest-impact moment
- Knowledge of current affairs and business topics directly affects GD performance
